Lab Processing instructions:
Allow blood to clot at room temp (37ºC) for 20-60 minutes. Centrifuge specimen to separate and immediately transfer serum to a 5 mL screw-cap, plastic vial. Place transport vial in dry ice to freeze immediately.

Notes:
Send specimen frozen on dry ice to NJCL by overnight express Monday-Thursday only. Include completed "Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories National Jewish Health, Complement Lab" requisition with specimen.
Keep specimen frozen at -70°C if received after pick-up Mon-Thurs and anytime Fri-Sun.
Cancel if received in serum gel tube.
