Lab Processing instructions:	Allow blood to clot at room temp (37º C) for 20-60 minutes. Centrifuge specimen to separate. Immediately transfer cell-free serum to a 5-mL screw-capped plastic vial. Place transport vial in dry ice to freeze immediately.
Processed Volume:	1.0 mL (minimum 0.3 mL) serum
Transport Temperature:	Frozen. Send direct to National Jewish on dry ice.
Analyte Stability:	PROCESSED: Ambient: NA Refrigerated: NA Frozen at -70 C: 1 year
Notes:	Send frozen specimen Priority Overnight on dry ice Mon-Thurs only. Send a completed "National Jewish Complement Lab" requisition with specimen. Serum separator gel tubes are not acceptable, cancel if collect in SST tube. If multiple tests are ordered on specimen for NJM, each test must have it's own aliquot tube.
